Twinning Project GE08/ENP-PCA/OT/01 “Support to the Institutional Development of the 
Georgian National Museum”

The Georgian National Museum is carrying out a joint EU Twinning Project to strengthen the National Museum. A full-time assistant for the Resident Twinning Advisor (RTA) is sought for 21 months implementation period of the project.

VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT FOR RTA ASSISTANT



Responsibilities

• Assistance to the residential twinning adviser and visiting short term experts 
• Interpreting meetings and other oral conversation into German and English and back 
• Translating documents, regulations, training materials, information materials and other written material in and from Georgian, English and back. 
• Drafting of written materials with relation to the project in German and English
• Overall management of the office administration, including filling, organizing trainings, expert missions, local travels, general desk office work etc, 
• Participating in expert activities as interpreter
• Organization of trainings, expert missions, study visits, meetings and etc. 
• Experienced handling of budget accounting 
• This list is not exclusive of other tasks

Requirements 

• Candidate may not be a civil servant or agent of the national museum (past 6 months) nor is on leave from the national museum to take up the position of the project assistant
• University degree in social sciences, humanities or similar degrees
• Extensive experience in project implementation, management and financial management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in Georgian and English languages. Knowledge of Russian and/or German would be desirable.  
• Organizational and analytical skills
• Flexibility and own initiative 
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relations
• Excellent know how of MS office programmes (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint)
• Flexibility regarding working time and readiness for overall work and partially business trips within Georgia and outside (seldom)

Tbilisi with some travel
Duration
21 months (starting beginning 2010)
