Summer Schools are the major products of the Word leading museums.Georgian National museum’s Educational Center worked out a special program of the Summer School 2009. The Program will be launched in June and July 2009.
One week package consist of theoretical and practical lectures andvisits of exhibitions.
The I. Javakhishvili Samtkhe-Javakheti History Museum is opening its doors after renovation. The museum has completely renovated its halls, also archive, lighting and climate-control systems.
The new exhibition presents Archaeological materials discovered during 2003-2007, while Baku-Tbilisi-Geyhan and South Caucasus Pipelines were being consttucted. The Georgian National Museum and BP have a long history of public-private partnership.
From June 30, 2009, exhibition of Pablo Picasso opens at the Sh. Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts. The exposition present 40 paintings of Picasso kept in Collections of Zervos Museum of the City of Vezelay, Department of Yonne.

On 24 of June, an exhibition “Archaeological Sites of Kvirila Gorge”, dedicated to the 80 years Jubilee of distinguished Georgian Archaeologist Jurkha Nadiradze will be held in Sh. Amiranashvili Museum of Fine Arts.
Jurkha Nadiradze had a significant role in Georgian Archaeology. During 60-ies of XXth century he was leading the archaeological expeditions in Sairkhe, Modinakhe, Djieti, Mtsketisjvari and other Sites.

The exhibition will present 40 paintings of Picasso kept in Collections of Zervos Museum of the City of Vezelay, Department of Yonne, France. Picasso exhibition will be held during three months in three cities of Georgia: Sighnaghi, Tbilisi and Batumi.
